In this article, Eric Hand discusses the recent (at the time) launch of a Chinese lunar orbiter, China's plans for Moon exploration, and possible future competition between Asian nations in space. Going off of quotes from experts on the subject, he speculates that China could be the third nation to land an astronaut on the Moon within a decade. Referencing India's and Japan's planned and fulfilled lunar missions, Hand suggests that an Asian space race is entirely possible.

wow. I had no idea that Japan and India were planning manned missions to the Moon. The world sure is changing fast. Did you know I was born on the night the first astronauts landed on the moon? Of course not. Interesting sources, Ali.
